A first look has been released for Sandiwara, a new short film directed by Sean Baker, starring Michelle Yeoh in five different roles.

The film is set in a Malaysian night market, with the story unfolding entirely within the same active public space. Crowded walkways, food stalls, and constant foot traffic form the backdrop as different characters move through the environment.

Michelle Yeoh appears as five separate characters, each navigating the night market setting in different ways. The location remains consistent throughout the film, serving as the shared space where these characters exist and intersect.

Sandiwara is scheduled to premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival. The project marks a new collaboration between Sean Baker and Michelle Yeoh.

At the time of release, details on runtime and wider distribution have not been announced.
