The Only Blue McDonald’s in the World

English Version | 中文版本

This isn’t a filter.
It isn’t a pop-up.
And it isn’t a special campaign.

In Sedona, there is a McDonald’s with blue (turquoise) arches—widely known as the only blue McDonald’s in the world.

The restaurant opened in the early 1990s (often cited as 1993). Unlike every other location, it doesn’t use the brand’s iconic yellow arches. Local building and signage rules in Sedona required the restaurant to tone down its exterior so it would blend into the surrounding red rock landscape. The result: blue-green arches instead of yellow.

Everything else is familiar.

Same McDonald's menu.
Same fries.
Same drive-thru experience.

Only the arches are different.

There are no limited-edition items here. No exclusive packaging. No hidden branding story. It’s simply a normal McDonald’s that looks slightly out of place—and that’s exactly why people stop, take a photo, and move on.

If you’re driving through Sedona, you’ll probably spot it along US-89A, pull over for a quick look, snap a picture, and continue your trip. That’s the entire experience.

A small visual anomaly.
A real place.
And yes — the only blue McDonald’s in the world.
